Still Life

My latest illustration.

A still life is a work of art in witch typically commonplace objects are used like; food, flowers, plants, rocks, or shells or man-made (drinking glasses, books, vases, jewelry, coins, pipes, and so on). Still life paintings give the artist more leeway in the arrangement of design elements within a composition than paintings of other types of subjects such as landscape or portraiture.

I played with this by using the Dutch word ‘Stilleven’ (Eng still life) by separating the word into 2 words by adding an ‘A’ in between.

Stilleven (Dutch) becomes : ‘ Stil in leven’. Translated into English you get: ‘ Still alive‘.

I started on this yesterday afternoon, and just finished it.

Here some images…
